Summer and Fall Soccer
Greetings!
Well the hectic part of the year is now over, try-outs have been and gone and we can all now start planning for the season.

If you took part in try-outs I hope they went well for you, and if you didn't then I am happy for you that you have found a great place to play soccer.

This past week I was lucky enough to coach at the High School All-Star game at Arrowhead Stadium. It was great to see young players coming to the end of their High School careers and finish with games at an excellent facility.
One aspect that I found interesting was that most players were not from the state winning schools, but a mixture of schools with great winning records and schools with losing records.
What I took from this is that no matter what team you play on, however good or struggling, the cream will always rise to the top. With that said around this time of year, with parents often taking players from one try-out to another. Please make sure that you find your child a coach that is going to be able to develop them, help them learn, and build a passion within them that will excite your child to continue working hard on their own. As our children get older without that passion, it will be very hard to keep them motivated through your desires alone.

Park Athletic Teams

This year Park will have teams both boys and girls from U17 down to U6.
Many of the teams have not completed their rosters for the fall season, so if you would like to play for Park Athletic this fall please visit our website for contact information on all teams.

This summer has been a busy one with adding coaches to our club. Over the past three years we have built a great base to our club coaching staff with long serving coaches like

  • Dan Morton
  • Shane Hackett
  • Brady Hart
  • Mark Ferguson
  • Mani Catano
  • Adam Bledsoe
  • Steven Nagel
  • Bob Zdvorak
  • JJ Bryant
  • Ross Stride

This summer we are pleased to continue adding quality to our club with the following coaches joining the staff this fall.
  • Paul 'McGinty' Mclaughlin
  • Kyle Sebus
  • Andrew Merrill
  • Ben Martin
  • Chris Peterson

I would also like to thank Ryan Shaw for all his hard work and great coaching over the past year and a half. Ryan was an excellent coach and we are sad to be losing him this fall due to work commitments.
