Contact craig@usssasoccer.net (816) 505-5240 Craig moved to Kansas City in 1999 where he accepted a soccer scholarship with Park College under Roger Bongaerts. Roger now is currently a head scout with English Premiership club Arsenal.
In a very successful college career Craig won best newcomer and helped the Pirates to the conference playoff as a freshman. His sophomore and junior year Park reached the regional final and semi-final. His senior year saw a regional championship and a trip to the national final where they reached the final game and finished 2nd in the nation. Prior to Park, Craig played for youth professional club Bashly.
In 2000 Craig started his coaching career helping Bongaerts with his soccer camps and local teams. That summer he took a position with British Soccer as a camp director, and started work on setting up a local club in Parkville. That fall Craig worked with St. Pius as an assistant coach as well as working on the development of Parkville Athletic. In 2001 Parkville Athletic became a registered club with Western Missouri with a lot of hard work and dedication from many people, Craig was head coach and coaching director of the club.
During his time with Parkville Athletic, the teams saw success winning a handful of league titles. At present there are Parkville Athletic players competing at the High School and Colligate level within the area.
More recently Craig coaching has landed him a position on the United Soccer Academy staff. He is the state of Missouri representative, as well on the advisory committee. Summer 2003 Craig lead the United Soccer Academy to a place in the last 32 of the World Youth Cup in Sweden, and a tournament win at the Umbro Cup in Manchester, England. He was the only coach on the tour to win the "A" bracket tournament.
Craig has just returned to Kansas City after spending four months working with Southampton FC woman's team. They currently play in the English Premier South Division. Craig was assistant coach and has worked with many of the woman's England squad during his time with Southampton.
This spring Craig will be traveling again with USA to Italy to take select players to tournaments, and in the summer Craig will be coaching with USA in the World Youth Cup. Also this summer he will be graduating with a Bachelor in Communication Theory and a minor in Public Relations from Park University.
Craig Currently holds his USSF D license and is working towards his "C" License. He has taken part in the UEFA "B" Course, now he is working on the practical side.
